| The vicious circle – the bank accountIt is the anomaly here... …:=) The situation is that you do not get a bank account unless you work. But in order to work you need a bank account, where your employer could send you your wages … It means the problem is at hand. There are more solutions. If you have a friend you can send your wages for a certain time to his account, in the opposite case you have to sort out quickly your bank account and it means in this way that you "get employed", your employer will give you instead of trasfer to the bank account cash ballance or cheque, but mainly he has to set up a letter for a concrete bank (with induction of the address of the branch of the bank) with a statement that you work for him. Your bank is likely on the basis of your request for opening account and on the basis of this letter to open your bank account …. Cheques, which you receive instead of transfer to the bank account, are impossible to transfer in the bank to the cash ballance …. it means you need your bank account again. |

| National Insurance Number (NI)To get your NI takes a bit longer than to get a WRS, usually 2-3 months... NI is actually some kind of identification number under which the Dapartement for Work Pensions evidence your contributions to the social systém. So if you are asking for the childrens allowance, buroo and so on the offices are looking on the status of your account under the NI. He should pension as well? Practically you submit a petition for NI to the local Job Centre, you fill in the form and you wait... for a phone call, where some bumble makes an appointment with you in the Job Centre. To the appointment you will bring your passport, wage slips and so on. So you fill this bureaucracy and go home …. and again you wait till they assign you the NI number. When this happens than you will say it to each your employer and that is the whole hoot... If you get this NI number you are able to use this forever, it means if you leave the UK and after some time you come back again to work you will use the same NI … |

| The health insuranceIf you are leaving for some of the EU countries you should settle up the European health insurance card and to become a self payer of the insurance. Than you are entitled as a citizen of EU to the free „urgent“ care. If you stay to work in the UK you should get in touch with the Czech health insurance company and to sign off to the date where you started to work in the UK. If you work in the UK you are entitled to the free medical care. If you loose your work in the UK than register by the Czech health insurance company.
